Sourcing of fabrics/accessories:
We only work with the best mills and suppliers in Italy, France and Spain - solid coloured Lycras in all fabric variations
-special textured fabrics and jaquards for swimwear - special jerseys that are developed with our mills (existing collections as well as special developments) - exclusive or ready
-made prints that are all printed in Italy (..) We print on various base fabrics like lycra for swimwear and silk, cottons or jerseys for the matching beach dresses.
- foil and laminated fabrics for swim and for dresses -Crochet Lycras -Crochet panels and trims for dresses Accessories like our fabrics are made in Europe, with only the best suppliers who make the these especially for swimwear, so no oxidation, no heating up of the metal or loss of colour. We have a extensive collection to choose from and can source what is needed. We also develop exclusively made accessories to specifications.
Design:
we offer the service of designing the collection in close communication with the clients who are constantly involved in the process to have a final collection that is tailormade for the brand and its target group. Sol Praia offers professional illustrations to help visualise designs early in the process, technical sheets and a comprehensive swatchbook for each season after all fabrics/accessories/colours have been chosen and before the final samples are made, so that the client will have visual references.
Product Development services:
Our patternmakers, who have been trained for lingerie and swimwear specifically, (...) know the technical support details and make up/finish of a great fitting product. We specialise in hidden enhancements of the garments to improve fit and shape (i.e. very fine paddings, hidden powermesh, hidden wires, boning etc). Our dresses and tops or sarongs are made with a patternmaker trained in luxury ready-to-wear.
We are proud to offer products Made in Europe, with all fabrics and components sourced from the following countries: Italy, France, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Germany. Sol Praia (...) takes it social responsibilities serious, we offer a free in-house kindergarden for our working mothers. Sol Praia ships from Portugal worldwide.
